Steve Jobs once said ..."My favorite things in life don't cost money. It's really clear that the most precious resource we have is time." I don't believe there's such a thing as 'free' time. Time is something we can't get back or get more of. It by far is the most precious thing life gives us.
With more choices and options in work and life we have a great opportunity that generations before us didn't have. What do you want to be? What organizations will you give your talents to? What people matter the most? Who do you want to work with and for? Is your work meaningful?
Choice is a good thing. How we choose to spend this time we have defines the legacy we leave. A part of self discovery is understanding an recognizing our talents and gifts God has given us. None of us know what 'time' we have. Steve Jobs had a vision to change the world and he was selective about the things he did and chose to leave the rest to others. His life was tragically shortened but his legacy will live on for years to come.
We are all on a different timeline. We are born with nothing and die with nothing. The choices we make in between is what makes the difference.
What choices are you making with your time? Are you comfortable with the story you're creating? What needs to change?
